China Medical Education

First day of the pilot community medicine clerkship in Wuhan. Dr Zhou, Dr Schumann, and Wuhan University medical students. October 2010

As part of the Pritzker School of Medicine's partnership with Wuhan University Medical School in Hubei province, China, doctors from the Department of Family Medicine travel to Wuhan twice a year to help develop one of the first Community and Family Medicine clerkships in China.

In addition to helping plan and evaluate the clerkship, we are helping them create a Department of Family Medicine and we are leading faculty development workshops on family medicine and medical education topics for the University and community faculty in Wuhan. Several Pritzker medical students have traveled with us to Wuhan to help with these projects.
