Debra B. Stulberg, MD MAPP
RHOADs Director
Debra is the Director for RHOADs. Her research explores racial and socioeconomic disparities in reproductive health in the United States. She has a special interest in understanding the effect of religiously-sponsored health care in reproductive health, medical decision-making, and the doctor-patient relationship. Debra is an assistant professor at the Department of Family Medicine, University of Chicago and has secondary appointments at the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology Section of Family Planning & Contraceptive Research, and the Maclean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics.

Jennifer Bello Kottenstette, MD, MS
RHOADs Associate Director
Jennifer is the Associate Director for RHOADs. Her research focuses on empowering patients to identify and achieve their goals for childbearing. She is currently studying the relationship between patient activation and women's reproductive health behaviors. She has an interest in how patient empowerment tools can impact patient-provider communication around reproductive health topics. Jennifer is a clinical educator at the Department of Family Medicine, Northshore University Healthsystem.

Emily White VanGompel, MD, MPH
RHOADs Faculty
As a clinical assistant professor at the University of Chicago and a practicing family physician within NorthShore University HealthSystem, Emily is actively engaged in teaching residents and medical students, providing outpatient continuity care, intrapartum and newborn care, and devoting 50% of her effort currently to developing her research career and a maternal-child health research portfolio. Her research interests are focused on maternal quality outcomes and improving the safety, family-centeredness, and equity of maternity care in America.
