Where Residents Live

Our residents come from diverse backgrounds with varied interests. This is reflected in where they live during residency. While some residents live close to 1 of our 4 NorthShore hospitals, others choose to live in the vibrant city and commute daily. Chicago and the Chicagoland area have a multitude of fun and exciting activities to which our residents can easily take advantage of, including kayaking on the Chicago River, going to the Brookfield Zoo, watching a movie at the IMAX theater at Navy Pier, attending the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, just to name a few. In fact, as an employee of the Northshore healthsystem, our residents also have free access to the Chicago Botanic Garden.

The red dots represent where our residents live in relation to the hospitals that they rotate at during their residency.
