Family Medicine in Practice

The Department of Family Medicine serves the communities of the Arthur Foundation and the South Side of Chicago by supporting the training of family medicine clinicians, the retention of outstanding family physicians, and the placement of faculty physicians in existing practices in the community.

Clinicians affiliated with the department are also bridging the gap between research and practice, by engaging in practice-based research about issues relevant to the practice of family medicine and primary care, and by engaging in population-based research about issues relevant to the health of the community.
